F.A.Q.
We’re here to answer your questions about above ground storage tank inspections and underground storage tank inspections. If you don’t see your question answered here, feel free to get in touch.
Do you only inspect above ground storage tanks?
InServe provides inspection services for both above-ground storage tanks and underground storage tanks.
What are the responsibilities of a storage tank owner or operator?
The EPA and other regulatory agencies have extensive underground storage tank (UST) regulations for owners and operators regarding financial responsibility requirements, site checks, mandated responses to leaks, spills, and overfills, record keeping, testing, and inspecting, and other factors.
Above ground storage tanks (ASTs) are subject to federal, state, and local regulations and most must also meet EPA’s Spill, Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) requirements. Our experts stay on top of ever-changing regulations so we can advise you on those specific to your region or equipment type.
How can I tell if my storage tank is leaking?
Routine storage tank inspection monitors for corrosion, deterioration, spilled material buildup, and other risk factors. Our experts are also trained to look for warning signs a spill or leak might be present. There are advanced methods of leak detection available that utilize advanced technology. We can help you determine the most cost-effective means that suit your needs.
How are storage tank inspections conducted?
How do you choose the right storage tank inspection company?
Look for a full-service storage tank inspection company with extensive experience offering the types of services you need. Our teams are certified to API-653, STI-SP001 and in applicable methods as required by ASME, API and ASNT SNT-TC-1A standards.
